Informatica Solidale O.d.V.

IT volunteering: technology from the heart.

Informatica Solidale is an O.d.V. formed by ICT and Third Sector volunteer professionals with a big heart. They believe in the power of technology for social development and their goal is to create a network that connects people, of all ages and needs, through events and initiatives to promote IT and technological development. Volunteers are also involved in supporting other associations in their web communication through the creation of tailor-made websites.

INFORMATICS AND SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Informatica Solidale's project work moves along three main strands: IT volunteering, partnership and consultancy. In their activities and initiatives, they build a network, collaborating with various Third Sector actors and working to teach the basics of IT to everyone from young people with with disabilities to elderly people.

TO RENEW AND TO EXPOSE

The logo is a monogram of the letters I and S shaping a heart. Informatica Solidale indeed has a big heart, long arms to welcome people and hands to guide them towards shared goals. The vibrant colours chosen reflect the enthusiasm I felt first-hand when talking to the volunteers. Those who work at the O.d.V. every day certainly express commitment and joy. This identity for them shows their desire to renew themselves, to expose themselves and to communicate the right things.

THE CONNECTED BUT OPEN NETWORK
At the heart of Informatica Solidale is a network of people transmitting and exchanging knowledge. This was the starting point for the 5x1000 campaign, which involved my participation in creating web and offline content. The basis of my design is the network as an illustration and metaphor, open and incomplete, to give space to others and thus to new connections.
